Building your website.
After discussing your needs and taste in a website with you, the process begins with designing the look and layout of the site from scratch in a graphics program. Depending on your site, I'll request photos, logos and any other relevant graphics at this time, to incorporate them into the design.
This part of the process tends to take some time, making sure that everything looks just right.
When the design is complete, an image showing what the website will look like will be sent to you to approve. This will be the first time you see the website, and is the stage at which any changes you may want will be made.
Once you're happy with the design, the image is then sliced up in a manner suitable for use on the webpage.
Next comes the coding. Here, I reconstruct the design, but as a functioning website. At this point, I will also ask for any text that you wish to appear on the website and include it. This part tends to be extremely time consuming, as everything must be meticulously checked to ensure proper functionality.
Finally, I send you the completed thing, and you have your website! It's as simple as that.
Website Options.
You may choose to opt for different options in managing your website, depending on your experience or knowledge of websites.
One option is that I send you the completed website, and you upload it to your own webhost.
Alternatively, if you are unsure of how to do this, you can supply details of your webhost so I can upload it for you.
If you don't have a webhost, or don't know how to get one, I can assist you in obtaining a reliable one.
Content Management
Once the site is up, you'll need to manage the content of it. This may include updating with new images and news.
With upkeep of the site, minor updates can be made yourself with only minimal html knowledge.
However, if you are unsure of how to go about doing this, I can make updates for you for a small fee per update - you will not be expected to pay a monthly fee for updates you may or may not wish to use. You'll only pay if or when you wish for me to work on your site further, and the fee will be calculated dependant on the size of the upate.
Rates.
Rates vary according to many variables, and as such the prices below are guidelines only. For an exact quote, please contact me.
Basic Website - $300-$900
Artistic and professional graphics and design, but without extras such as mouse roll-overs, animations, etc.
Starting at the lowest end of the price range is a visually appealing but simple website with one page - a web presence that may simply direct users to drop by or phone- while at the high end of the price range is a website with up to 7 pages.
Unlike many web design places you will not be charged or limited with scanning and/or converting image files.
Enhanced Website - $900 up
The same unique website, but with the extras. Options include animated photo rotations, images galleries, menu roll-overs, calendars, even a shopping cart if you need one.
The price varies greatly depending on which extras you need, or how many you need, so please contact me for a quote.

For those needing a website but unable to pay in one go, I am open to payment options such as paying in smaller instalments over a period of time.
